"...since 1982, the Republican Party had been legally prohibited from contesting elections due to suspected vote fraud, because of a legal agreement called the Consent Decree the GOP made with the Democrat Party?" with link to: www.investmentwatchblog.com/end-of-1982-consent-decree-gop-finally-can-contest-vote-fraud-after-36-years/

"Since 1982, the Consent Decree had been renewed every year by the original judge, Carter appointee District Judge Dickinson R. Debevoise, who, even after he retired, returned every year for the sole purpose of renewing his 1982 order for another year. Debevoise died in August 2015."

Debevoise was all for social justice: "A brilliant jurist, Judge Debevoise dedicated his life to pursuing justice, equality, and opportunity. (...) He also became active in the civil rights movement of the 1960s, both representing and recruiting other attorneys to represent, civil rights workers in Mississippi during the 1964 Mississippi Freedom Summer. Reflecting on his life’s work, Judge Debevoise later explained that one of his proudest professional accomplishments was establishing Newark Legal Services in 1965, an organization that provides legal services and advocates for New Jersey’s poor and marginalized residents. Consistent with his commitment to public service, Judge Debevoise served as the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice’s founding board vice-president, trustee, and ultimately trustee emeritus. In that capacity, he helped to create, shape, and advance the Institute’s mission." www.njisj.org/njisj-remembers-judge-dickinson-r-debevoise
