The FDA has expanded their recall of a blood pressure drug due to concerns over that it was tainted with a cancer-causing chemical.
The recall includes one lot of Sandoz’s losartan potassium hydrochlorothiazide 100 milligram/25 milligram tablets with the lot number JB8912. The recall was issued after the ingredient NDEA, a suspected human and animal carcinogen that is used in gasoline was discovered.
The FDA is testing all blood pressure medicines for these impurities….
