Remember that Snowden has a killswitch supposedly on the remaining information that he has and that is his ONLY leverage.. He just realized that the Deep State is no longer available to protect him and keep from the kill switch going active… POTUS isn't going to protect him as he wants the killswitch active. Hence he is now a liability.

Why would the Deep State want to kill Snowden?… with Snowden gone all the information he has gets dropped automatically. If anything the Deep State wants to protect him (but can't), and POTUS wants him dead so that everything he has gets dropped.. (makes Q's job MUCH easier)
