Girl said she had been in bathroom and came back to her classroom just as the announcement came over the intercom to evacuate the building.
Just going by what she said.
Generally a fire drill is with the fire alarms sounding, but maybe it was different in this school.
Girl said she saw Cruz on the stairway during the evac and remembered him as a troublemaker form JH. She said kids were freaking out because they heard pops from other side of the school and people were saying those were gunshots. She told him, "I'm surprised you're not doing the shooting". She said he acted confused about that.
Good looking, clean cut girl, maybe a little edge to her, as in not a goody two shoes type. The "you're not shooting" wisecrack seemed to fit her personality and I don't think people really knew there was actually shooting going on, so not as cold-blooded as it seems.
Point is, she says saw him on the stairway during an evac, so other people must have seen him as well. Should be asy to verify.
If she were making up a story, IMO, she would have said something like she saw him when she was coming back from the bathroom, i.e. no witnesses
