I am hundreds of miles from there, but the whole state is like Armageddon. It went really cold suddenly on Thursday night. The smoke is covering everything. It rains ashes. There is an eerie feeling just like you see in that video hundreds of miles from the fires. It smells like smoke all the way down to Monterey. And people are acting weird. Very few people out, but neighbors are helping each other. But, some are acting out. My town is so quiet, it hasn't been like this in forty years.
And Newsom announced friday that he plans to build 3.5 MILLION new homes.

Newsom on Friday.
There are very few roads in and out of those mountains. It is a worry for a lot of us. It was a problem in the Oakland Hills, too. Most roads in California are narrow, windy and you have to pull over going downhill to let a car coming uphill go past. Not enough room for two to pass. No sidewalks, signs, etc. Disabled people, elderly people, people who do not want to leave their pets are at risk. Also, many of those remote places and older people do not have internet, etc.
Also, that fire was travelling EIGHTY football fields per minute. The firefighters could only search and rescue. No way to stop the fire.
Paradise is a California you do not know.
This week is very DARK in California. The air is full of smoke. It is oddly cold because the smoke is over the sun. It really does look like an apocalypse. I have lived here all my life. A fire like this has not happened since the Oakland Hills Firestorm circa 1992. The Loma Prieta quake started some fires, but nothing like this.
The most important thing to know about California right now is that we virtually have a state religion…Climate change. They are tearing up everything and rebuilding.
They are building a two tier society. The wealthy and the servants.
