Missouri Synod Lutheran here. Actually, our church all but forbids the joining of any and all secret societies. And for those that do, the pastor (those with guts) can deny them sacraments (communion).
Meant to say, "outright" forbids, not "all but". Very, very tired. Insomnia sucks.
