This is important.

Acosta was one of thirty or more reporters; his rudeness, selfishness and arrogance critically impacted the First Amendment rights of every other reporter in the room whose access to the President was impeded by Acosta's behaviour.

Every reporter in the room has First Amendment rights and the White house was entirely right to put the rights of the majority before the rights of an individual.

A new precedent needs to be established. Acosta's behaviour, if it continues, is likely to result in reduced frequency and length of access by the Press to the White House; threatening the First amendment rights of every White House correspondent.

The Courts should be extremely careful not to encourage rudeness and bad behaviour; rights come with duties.
