Trump Legal Strategy - Ineffective Counsel?

A little shower thought that I pondered while watching Netflix making a murderer. It revolves around ineffective counsel as a constitutional right.

I'd love a LawAnon to chime in on viability.

Regardless of our beliefs, let's assume Trump gets charged or indicted by Mueller or any other fabricated scandal.

During the course of Mueller/Stormy events, he has a lawyer he clearly had on retainer that actively worked against him as counsel.

My understanding is no matter how guilty or not Trump may be, he has a right to proper representation legally.

If he did not receive that, there are legal ramifications for any case.

Question is if this is an active legal strategy he pursued with Cohen, others or could he apply it in the future if it became an issue?
