I was in the Paris airport that day.

Media caught my USA passport, and stuck a microphone in my mouth. It was like 5 in the morning, and I had slept through the event, because of the early flight, and didn't really know much about what was going on. I told the media as much.

The question posed to me was if I was leaving Paris because I was scared of terrorism? I explained, I didn't really know what was going, and besides I had bought the ticket waaaay in advance, so my flying out had nothing to do with the attack.

But the lady reporter kept pushing me and pushing me with a line of questioning that would get a sound bite that said "I am leaving France because I am afraid of terrorism."Never gave it to her.

It was the only time in my life the media put a microphone in my mouth. And the one time, is good enough for me. I can't imagine what is like to be POTUS or a ballplayer, and have to deal with these people all the time who frame questions in ways that force a response that suits them. For my one experience with the media, I found it annoying as fuck.
