I wonder if this is the 'Project Bluebeam' that was being referred to? Originally, some thought it might be a hologram thing to project fake UFOs in the sky, but these beams appear to have a blueish hue to them. It must have some stupid amount of power to be that visible in broad daylight.

 

I nominate this as a 'Sky Event'.

Yeah, I think that (and the 'Castles in the sky' videos) got conflated with the lasers we are seeing now. That would be a good way to deflect from the true use of the lasers, if you think about it.

Fires = funding and huge insurance payouts. If the Government won't fund the forest management, use the scorched earth approach to force them to do it, as the deaths caused by the sires will rouse public opinion to do something and force the Government's hand.
