There's no such thing as nuclear waste. Uranium fission yields Plutonium which is another source of reusable nuclear fuel. And it's not dangerous like we've been led to believe. Nuclear material is only truly dangerous in an atomic bomb. There is speculation that 'nuclear waste disposal sites' are in fact a front for other black hat ops.
