Villa was pissed because Roosevelt said he would recognize him as President of Mexico (during their civil war). Instead, Wilson recognized his rival Carranza and Villa's army got slaughtered (40K men lost, 1st & 2nd Celaya). Villa was totally pro-US, would have been Mexico's best leader ever, and against the progressive agenda pushed by Carranza and Wilson. Carranza goes on to try to start a race war in the US (Plan de San Diego). Villa becomes an actor in Hollywood.
