Good point - a history lesson is in order. Cabal realized that Clinton was riling up the conservative base and they needed a way to steer these people towards globalism. Remember, this is the mid-90s when grassroots conservatism was on the rise. Fox News was established to steer this in the direction of neoconservatism, which is exactly what it did. It discarded real conservatives and libertarians in favor of the warhawks and "reformed" liberals like Krauthammer.
They walk a fine line trying to appeal to a conservative base through social issues, but they are and always have been a neocon network. This doesn't mean all personalities fit that mold, nor does it mean some can't come to their senses…but their modus operandi is to be one-half of the divide-and-conquer strategy.
