Broward County Sheriff Department’s 2017 Budget was $902 Million and they took in $347 Million. I’m certain that the Broward County Sheriff Department’s accounting department follow GAAP to the letter so that number must be accurate. So I’m sure there’s no funny business down there. No way bags of cash or drugs could be “misplaced” in Avis rental cars with Sheriff Israel on the watch.
Also Broward County has a Total Net Position of $4.8 Billion surplus. A very rich county indeed.
