The larger point is that PG&E is a distribution utility whose management is already on the climate change and green energy bandwagon. They are not really an 'energy' company in any competitive sense, and will be bailed out again by the cucked state regulators/government.
Now, they might be trying to tank their stock price so that Buffet can buy it up - that I will give you.
But the idea they are trying to kill PG&E so that their green energy ventures can replace them shows a fundamental lack of understanding of this particular part of the industry.
