OPSEC Reminder

Anons, remember to practice OPSEC and discernment when following twitter URLs.

Format to watch for:

https: //twitter.com/{user}}/status/{tweet-id}?s=19

The query string contains a tracking code: s=19

This query string variable is typically used to denotes the start of a video in seconds.

The problem is that a majority of the posts that these URLs represent either:

a) are not videos

b) the video is shorter than the provided start time.

I compiled a list of 192 of these links from the last 375 breads (system api limit) here are breakdowns by query string s value:

?s=19 : 59 instances

?s=09 : 13 instances

?s=21 : 93 instances

?s=12 : 17 instances

My theory is that these false start times are used to track users visiting planted twitter links to identify anons that are logged into twitter.

Be smart anons, when in doubt do not copy the query string when visiting twitter links.
