The Woolsey fire started on the abandoned proving grounds for rocketry. It's an old nuclear facility. The ash is contaminated. Not sure how stupid one needs to be to live in that area, but stupid has a price.

Do a simple Google map search on Santa Susana lab. You will see that the Woolsey fire was a drect hit. As for the media reporting on radioactive ash>not going to happen. These dump sites are all over the country. Every site has gross anomalies in cancer rates.

No, nothing to do w remediation. Fire will not cleanse these toxins. Not into this train/land situation. The state acquires land thru immnent domain, so I really don't see it as an issue. If I were a Californian, I'd be more concerned about the cost of the train. Sounds like a boondoggle to me.
