If you're hung up on appearances then you're totally missing the point. Autists focus on what's in a person's mind and character. The physical envelope in which a person's spirit resides is, at most, a clue as to what's inside their heart. Focusing on the outside of a person's physical shell is really misplaced attention and says more about the person focusing there than about the person they're pointing at.
