NorCal fag here. I happen to live just a few miles from the Boho Grove. When they started switching the meters out for "Smart" ones, they didn't tell anyone and no one was allowed to opt out. People would leave notices on their power box saying they did NOT want their meter changed just to come back and have the new meter put in anyway. A friend of mine who lived in some rural hilly area had his smart meter EXPLODE and start a fire on the hillside below. The fire dept got there just in time to save the house. Also, at the same time they were force-feeding those damn meters to us in Cali, I had heard they were also doing the same to people in Texas. I figured they probably chose to do it that way by starting at both ends of the (political) spectrum and working their way to the middle.
