I started my criminal justice career in a max state prison and we had to keep the child molestors in protective custody. Even the general pop prisoners got kids and would do 'bad' things to the baby rapers if they could get to them. I hated working that wing…sleezy evil…makes you want to shower the second you get home and throw your uniform in the wash. Disgusting maggots.
Hopefully we can speed things along for some…like child molesters. Pretty sure the data is clear that they don't reform. In that case…recycle. Fertilizer for the prison forests..
Yep…one of my nieces made some bad choices and her bf beat a little kid so bad it made the news and he was tormenting the kid by drowning and raising him out of the water.
So, when he was in jail on pre-trial nobody knew what he had done. Word has it a newspaper got dropped in the dayroom and somebody forgot to cut out his case and the other inmates took care of the state's problem.
I was out of the business long before that…but let's just say there's more than one way to skin a cat.
You REALLY don't want to be a child molester in jail or prison. Times can be hard. The other inmates aren't little kids…they're hard ballers.
Take heart construction Anon…the 4 - 6% is the rate of sociopathy across populations. They are physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually without conscience…irreformable, study after study. Everybody else has a chance with the right help and information. The sociopaths…get as far away as possible is the advice the experts give. As one who used to have to have to deal with them professionally, I give the exact same advice…do not engage. Disengage and don't look back. The rest, hope for the best if you can't help them.
