I can't take credit for finding these, but with everything going on - Rothschilds, Turkey and Ottoman Empire, Jerusalem, Palestine . . . In case you don't not already have them . . .

KING ROTHSCHILD ! [The following curious extract is from a private letter from Smyrna. We give it without note or comment.] – The confidence of the children of Israel in the words of the prophet has not been vain: the temple of Solomon will be restored in all of its splendor. Baron Rothschild, who was accused of having gone to Rome to abjure the faith of his fathers, has merely passed through that city on his way to Constantinople, where he is about to negotiate a loan with the Porte. It is stated, on good authority, that Baron Rothschild has engaged to furnish to the Sultan, the enormous sum of 350,000,000 piastres, at three instalments, without interest, on condition of the Sultan’s engaging for himself and his successors, to yield to Baron Rothschild for ever (sic), the sovereignty of Jerusalem, and the territory of ancient Palestine, which was occupied by the twelve tribes. The Baron’s intention is to grant to the rich Israelites who are scattered about in different parts of the world portions of that fine country, where he proposes to establish seigniorities (sic?), and to give them as far as possible, their ancient and sacred laws. Thus the descendants of the Hebrews will at length have a country, and every friend of humanity must rejoice at the happy event. The poor Jews will cease to be the victims of oppression and injustice. Glory to the great Baron Rothschild, who makes so noble use of his ingots. A little army being judged necessary for the restored kingdom, measures have been taken for recruiting it out of the wrecks of the Jewish battalion raised in Holland by Louis Buonaparte. All the Israelites who were employed in the various departments of the Dutch Administration, are to obtain superior posts under the government of Jerusalem, and the expenses of their journeys are to be paid them in advance.

JERUSALEM. There is a report that the Rothschilds have purchased Jerusalem! We see nothing improbable that, in the pecuniary distress of the sultan, he should sell some part of his dominions to preserve the rest; or that the Rothschilds should purchase the ancient capital of their nation. They are wealthy beyond the desire, perhaps, even of avarice; and so situated, it is quite reasonable to suppose that they may seek something else to gratify their ambition, that shall produce most important effects. If secured in the possession, (and which may be brought about by money), they might instantly, as it were, gather a large nation together, soon to become capable of defending itself, and having a wonderful influence over the commerce and condition of the east—rendering Judea again the place of deposite (sic) of a large portion of the wealth of the “ancient world.” To the sultan, the country is of no great value; but, in the hands of the Jews, directed by such men as the Rothschilds, what might it not become, and in a short period of time?

The sultan is in great difficulty—Baron Rotecschild (sic) was proceeding to Constantinople; and a second re-building of the temple is not among the most strange things expected in these strange times, by some of the Jews.

It is reported that the rich Rothchild (sic) has bought Jerusalem. If so, the purchase money may help the Turks to pay the Russians for conquering them.
