They might not even have smart meters in that mountain town. Most were put into the city neighborhoods.
So, the first start would be to see if they even had those up there.
I know besides electricity, that most mountain cabins/homes use propane and have very large propane tanks outside.
So, I would imagine a lot of propane tanks blew up.
