New ACLU Documents Reveal CIA Considered Reviving MK-Ultra-Like Mind Control Programs

The American Civil Liberties Union has released documents from the Central Intelligence Agency’s Office of Medical Services detailing a secret history of CIA torture operations. The 90-page account was written by an unknown top CIA medical official and explains how CIA doctors were looking for a “truth serum” drug they could use on prisoners as part of a formerly classified project known as Project Medication. U.S. government lawyers have previously stated that the report was a draft and represented the impressions of one single officer not the opinion of the whole agency.

The ACLU reports:

The CIA studied records of old Soviet drug experiments as well as the CIA’s notorious and discredited MK-Ultra program, which involved human experimentation with LSD and other drugs on unwitting subjects. The CIA doctors involved in Project Medication wanted to use Versed, a psychoactive drug similar to some of those used in MK-Ultra, on prisoners.

Although the project was apparently never put into action, the medical professionals working with the CIA did play a role in human experimentation. The ACLU noted that medical professionals were “indispensable” to legitimizing torture and attempted to provide a “veneer of legality” for torture methods. The report notes that CIA doctors actually promoted the idea that waterboarding “provided periodic relief” from being forced to stand and subjected to other forms of sleep deprivation and physical torture. In fact, the CIA’s medical staff claimed that the torture program was “reassuringly free of enduring physical or psychological effects.”

Don't forget

Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

The master plan is comprised of 17 “Post-2015 Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) with 169 specific “targets” to be foisted on all of humanity — literally all of it, as the plan itself states explicitly. “As we embark on this collective journey, we pledge that no one will be left behind,” reads the UN manifesto, entitled Transforming Our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. But if you love liberty, self-government, free markets, or the U.S. Constitution, you will almost certainly be wishing that the UN would leave you behind.

Officially dubbed “Agenda 2030,” the UN plot, as its full title suggests, is aimed at “transforming” the world. The program is a follow-up to the last 15-year UN plan, the defunct “Millennium Development Goals,” or MDGs. It also dovetails nicely with the deeply controversial UN Agenda 21, even including much of the same rhetoric and agenda. But the combined Agenda 2030 goals for achieving what is euphemistically called “sustainable development” represent previous UN plans on steroids — deeper, more radical, more draconian, and more expensive.

It’s been almost four decades since the Khmer Rouge were in power in Cambodia, reigning with a ruthlessness that left as many as 1.7 million people dead.

On Friday, an international tribunal in the capital Phnom Penh decided that the party had committed genocide during its reign from 1975 to 1979.

The Phnom Penh Post tweeted early Friday local time that the Khmer Rouge Tribunal found that the party carried out genocide against Vietnamese and Muslim Cham people while it was in power.

The tribunal also found guilty of genocide, two men who are the surviving leaders of the Khmer Rouge: 92-year-old Nuon Chea, who was second to Pol Pot in its chain of command, and 87-year-old Khieu Samphan, who was head of state.

Russian MoD: Over 6,000 US-controlled terrorists remain in Rukban refugee camp

Moscow, SANA-The conditions of al-Rukban camp’s residents near the Syrian-Jordanian borders in al-Tanf area are reminiscent of the World War II concentration camps, Head of Russia’s National Defense Control Center Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev said on Friday.

the Russian General called on the United States to end its occupation of the area where the Camp is located.

“We are urging the United States of America to immediately stop the illegal occupation of the 55km zone around al-Tanf, which is the sovereign territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. This will automatically resolve the al-Rukban problem itself and help residents staying there return to their homes,” he said.

In the same context, the Russian Defense Ministry said over 6,000 militants of the so-called Maghawir al-Thawra group controlled by the US are currently in the Rukban refugee camp along with 50,000 refugees,

Sign, sign

Everywhere a sign

Blockin' out the scenery

Breakin' my mind

Do this, don't do that

Can't you read the sign?

So I got me a pen and a paper

And I made up my own little sign

I said, "Thank you, Lord, for thinkin' 'bout me

I'm alive and doin' fine"

Australian police offer reward for information about murder of ex-KGB colonel

Police in the Australian state of Queensland have offered a $250,000 (US $182,000) reward for information that can help solve the murder of a former Soviet KGB colonel 18 years ago. The victim, Gennadi Bernovski, worked in the domestic wing of the Soviet KGB, until his retirement, which coincided with the dissolution of the USSR. In 1996, he moved to Australia with his family and bought a house in Benowa Waters, a luxury suburb of Gold Coast, a city located south of Brisbane on the country’s east coast. But on the evening of July 24, 2000, Bernovski was shot to death outside his home by what witnesses said were two men in combat diver suits. They reportedly opened fire on Bernovski with a semi-automatic weapon, wounding him fatally in the stomach. He was dead within a few minutes. It is believed that the assailants sailed to Bernovski’s waterfront property on an inflatable boat, or swam there, having first sailed to the nearby seaside.

Hundreds of Aussie Consumers, Business people and Scientists say: ‘Get out of the UN Paris Agreement’

A new grassroots group is forming to lobby to get Australia out of the Paris Patsy Agreement. The people who are fed up with us being The Crash Test Dummies of Renewables include movers and shakers, professors, farmers, MP’s, executive giants of the mining and medical research industry, engineers, and surgeons. It includes Larry Pickering (cartoonist), Hugh Morgan, Alan Moran, Ian Plimer, Jerry Ellis, John Stone, Peter Farrell (ResMed), Ron Manners, Gina Rheinhart, Geoff Bennett, Colin Boyce, Bob Bryan, Ron Pike, David Archibald, Prof Ivan Kennedy, Prof Peter Ridd, Bill Kininmonth (former head of the National Climate Centre) and so many more. Credit to Viv Forbes of Carbonsense.

“Who speaks for consumers? Our elected reps are supposed to, but few are willing to speak up. There is a $1.5 trillion dollar global industry that wants Australia to accept Paris, but no debate about the vested interests that stand to profit while Australian consumers and businesses pay carbon taxes they have voted against every time they had the chance.”

The Australian mistakenly announced it as a “mining lobby group” because a few giants of Australian mining have added their names in support. But obviously this is much broader and bigger. Indeed while former executives of mining companies may speak out, most current executives and industry organisations pander to Labor Green politics (for fear of putting out the likely next government or being called names), or are riding the Green Gravy Train. Few current CEO’s are that brave.
