UN General Assembly votes overwhelmingly in favor of resolution affirming Syria’s sovereignty over occupied Golan

Russian MoD: Over 6,000 US-controlled terrorists remain in Rukban refugee camp

“We are urging the United States of America to immediately stop the illegal occupation of the 55km zone around al-Tanf, which is the sovereign territory of the Syrian Arab Republic. This will automatically resolve the al-Rukban problem itself and help residents staying there return to their homes,” he said.

In the same context, the Russian Defense Ministry said over 6,000 militants of the so-called Maghawir al-Thawra group controlled by the US are currently in the Rukban refugee camp along with 50,000 refugees,

The administration of the Al Rukban camp is unable to provide security for the refugees, and prostitution, theft, sexual slavery of minors and human trafficking thrive there, the Russian Defense Ministry’s representative in the ceasefire and humanitarian aid groups in Geneva, Yuri Tarasov, said at a meeting of the Russian and Syrian centers for the return of refugees on Friday.

Syrian Army Resumes Its Advance In Al-Safa Despite Bad Weather

Syrian pro-government sources, including al-Masdar News and Muraselon, confirmed that the SAA made significant advance in al-Safa and reported that the army artillery destroyed many positions and fortifications of the terrorist groups in the area.

Bad weather conditions forced the SAA and its allies to pause their attack in al-Safa between November 13 and 15. Many local observers predicted that the weather will hinder the army’s advance. However, it apparently also had an impact on the remaining terrorist group’s fighters.

Stacey Abrams Amassed Nearly Three Dozen Lawyers to Contest Georgia Gubernatorial Election

Stacey Abrams’ Georgia gubernatorial campaign amassed nearly three dozen lawyers on Friday to challenge the validity of the Georgia gubernatorial election.

The Associated Press (AP) reported her team amassed nearly three-dozen lawyers who will draft a petition, along with affidavits from voters and would-be voters who argue that they were allegedly disenfranchised during the election.

Abrams could decide as early as Friday whether to go to court. Under Georgia election law, a losing candidate can challenge the result of an election based on “misconduct, fraud or irregularities … sufficient to change or place in doubt the results.”

Allegra Lawrence-Hardy, Abrams’ campaign chair, said that her legal team is “considering all options,” which also includes federal court remedies. Some Democratic legal observers note Abrams would be dependent on statues that set a high bar for the court to intervene.

Abrams Republican challenger, Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp, has held the lead and is expected to be declared the winner on Friday, charged that Abrams has led a “publicity stunt” and her refusal to concede the election serves as a “ridiculous temper tantrum.”

Abrams faces a narrow path to winning the Georgia gubernatorial election. Preliminary election results show Kemp winning with about 50.2 percent of the vote, which puts him with over 18,000 voters over the threshold required to win by a majority and avoid a December 4 election runoff.

Lawrence-Hardy told the AP that Abrams believes that many of her supporters, many of them minority and low-income voters who do not regularly vote, went to the polls and ran into electoral barriers, although she did not say what barriers they were.

“These stories to me are such that they have to be addressed,” said Lawrence-Hardy. “It’s just a much bigger responsibility. I feel like our mandate has blossomed. … Maybe this is our moment.”

Pentagon Details Its Own Accounting Flaws After Failing First-Ever Full Audit

The US Department of Defence issued a report on Friday admitting that it cannot provide the public with "reasonable assurance" on how it spends taxpayer money, just one day after the Pentagon announced that it had failed its first-ever audit test.

"The Department’s deficiencies in the design or operation of internal controls over financial reporting include ineffective processes and controls over the posting of transactions to the general ledger and reconciling with the Department of the Treasury; ineffective processes and controls over compiling financial statements, reconciling data and supporting entries (including journal vouchers); and ineffective processes and controls over accounting for, valuing, and supporting property, plant and equipment," the Agency Financial Report said.

The audit, conducted by the Defence Department Inspector General and the Independent Audit, identified 20 areas of material weaknesses in the agency’s financial statement reporting. They include financial management systems and information technology, financial statements compilation, government property in possession of contractors and other.

The auditors issued a "Disclaimer of Opinion" to reporting entities within the Defense Department, saying they were unable to obtain sufficient appropriate evidence to provide a basis for an audit opinion as the basic financial statements may contain undetected misstatements that are both material and pervasive.

It is noteworthy that only five out of more than 50 Defence Department reporting entities received a passing grade, with the rest receiving disclaimers and modified opinions given the existence of financial reporting errors, inventory discrepancies and IT systems’ security issues.

The Defence Department stressed in the Agency Financial Report that its financial performance is summarized in Figure 13, which represents the Department’s condensed financial position, results of operations and budgetary resources as well as includes comparisons of financial balances from the current year to the prior year.

"Though the Department has received a Disclaimer of Opinion on its financial statements, audit remediation efforts will continue to improve the Department’s financial information," the report indicated.

The auditors had also pointed out that the Defence Department’s financial management systems do not fully conform to the requirements of the Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act of 1982 (FMFIA).

In addition, the Defence Department said in the report that it remains "committed to significant and measurable improvements in its ability to provide reliable, timely and useful financial and managerial information to support management decisions."

It added it concurs with the Inspector General’s conclusions and will focus on implementing the necessary corrective actions to address each of the material weaknesses, including in the areas of acquisition, contract administration, resource management, cybersecurity and other.

The report comes after US Deputy Secretary of Defence Patrick Shanahan acknowledged on Thursday that the Defence Department failed its first-ever comprehensive audit and pointed out to the need to establish the greater financial discipline of the $2.7 trillion dollar agency.

Sweden: Reduced migration is illegal – Court opens for even more generous family migration

Restrictions on family reunification in the temporary asylum law violate the European Convention on Human Rights.

This has been established by the Migration Supreme Court in a new verdict, which, according to the Swedish Migration Agency, may affect “many cases”.

The temporary law, which restricts the possibility of a residence permit in Sweden and which was added in connection with the asylum wave 2015, has, among other things, entailed tougher rules for family reunification.

But a new verdict from the Migration Supreme Court now allows relief for family reunification. The case is about three Syrian citizens who according to the verdict have a right to be reunited with a fourth family member – a child who came to Sweden with other relatives in 2015, and was temporarily granted a residence permit under the temporary law.

This implies relief in cases of family reunification that will probably affect many cases, says the Migration Agency’s Legal Director, Fredrik Beijer, on the ruling in a statement.

We welcome the fact that this has now been tried by the Migration Supreme Court, which concluded that the family reunification ban violates the European Convention.

The consequences of the new judgment will now be investigated by the Swedish Migration Agency. However, they can be extensive. “This judgement is important and may affect many people, so we will analyse it with priority,” he concludes.

Facebook produces fake news to attack its opponents

The social media giant has been producing a lot of its own fake news lately. After harassing conservative websites with “hate speech” rules and “fake news” rules, Facebook has been producing fake news of its own.

After the Cambridge Analytica scandal, Facebook said it was going to do better in regards to user privacy and fake news.

What they’ve don’t instead is ban conservative accounts and use a very loose definition of “hate speech” to justify it. The most public example was Alex Jones being banned permanently from Facebook.

With millions of followers, it was very noticeable when his account was gone. George Soros still has multiple pages on Facebook, where his organizations peddle false conspiracy theories about migration, Donald Trump and Fox News.

But Facebook has no problem with that. We all know that Alex Jones is eccentric and a conspiracy theorist, but you can not deny he has broken some of the biggest scoops of the century.

Such as Hillary Clinton’s failing health. Nonetheless to Facebook, they banned him permanently for violating “hate speech” rules.

They have still yet to give a substantive explanation for how “hate speech” is defined to them. It seems to Facebook and other leftist social media giants, that “hate speech” is just anything that doesn’t agree with their worldview.
