No Such Agency needs its backdoors to be accessible only by them, because they build their backdoors into the chips they issue to the rest of the US government. (No public source for the latter statement.) In the old days, they used centralized key generation, and relied on cryptographic algorithms which are easily broken for most keys to prevent anyone else from generating keys independently; their current approach is to use an obfuscated form of public-key encryption to make key material available to them.

Clowns In America and Goofy Clowns Hailing the Queen over in the UK have always backdoored things by making them buggy. (See the old OSS sabotage manual on Project Gutenberg.) In hindsight, that's exactly what you would do if you wanted to be able to distribute access to your backdoors to other parties (e.g. MS13).

>I had to read this twice, anon. How do you know this stuff?

Personal expertise and past associations.

Someone who had been close to the people who reverse-engineered a No Such Agency crypto chip provided by Clowns told me they used Dual EC in that chip. The rest followed from other knowledge.

I thought I did. The Clowns had no chance in heck of ever getting access to the Dual EC backdoor secret key, they knew the backdoor existed, and they were unable to place their agents in No Such Agency long-term. They needed their own hardware and software without Dual EC, and they needed to deny the Patriots their secure comms.

>Hundreds of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL owners have been complaining of high-pitched and clicking sounds coming from the phone.[46] Google investigated the issue and recommended turning off NFC to temporarily fix the problem until a software update comes out.[47][48] The November security patch fixed the clicking sound as well as the KRACK WPA2 Wi-Fi security issue, however, it did not fix the buzzing sounds heard during calls on some devices. Google has promised a fix in a future update.[49]

Cute. Google turns on the NFC emitter when the phone is next to the user's head. Did they get FDA approval for their TMS device?

Oh. The other piece (in a post on #483) is that BlackBerry and other UWaterloo companies were effectively No Such Agency fronts.
