honestly, this makes sense

In the new Bladerunner, Gosling's character, a replicant REPLICATING a façade of "organic" """life"""" is lead to the brink of believing he is the one who can transcend his status, that he is not a mere robot

But then it's revealed (spoiler) that no, it's not him. He's not the one. He's still just a robot.

But he reacts. He shows anger, emotion. Is it only another facade, not "actual" anger? He's a replicant, yet believed he was more, then shown he wasn't.

How uncomfortable does the average person become when he is made aware of his lack of real control? His lack of free will? What existential angst is he thrown into when the robot is told he's a robot when he's convinced he isn't?

Let's keep fighting. If all is but a nihilistic hole, then there's just as much "reason" to fight for good than to not. Let's keep fighting.

I empathize deeply with you - I'm roughly on the same path, and attempted to rip myself from it, to not become a cog.

Fight, fight, fight. THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO.

THANK YOU - will begin reading immediately

Please pop in once and a while, it's been months and I've been waiting for someone to talk to about this. This is absolutely necessary if citizens wish to unmake the evils done to all of us.
