WHERE ARE THE SAFES?

If I was rich and had a really nice house in a fancy part of California, I would have a fireproof safe for guns, money, documents etc.

If I was not rich and lived in a forest in drought ridden California, I would have a fireproof safe for some important items.

I haven't seen any safes standing intact in the melted houses.

DID SOMEONE CONFISCATE THEM?
