The "Church" teaches you must have an intermediary between you and God… Ie. Saints, the Pope, etc. and you cannot have direct relationship with God thru the Holy Spirit. This is pure wickedness.
This was what the protestant reformation was about. After the Bible was translated to their own language, things changed fast. The teachings of Jesus and that of the "church" couldn't be further removed.
God is our only hope, the "church" helped get us here.
