My worry is that this will drag on too long and economic events will overtake the progress made. For instance, Saudi Arabia was sitting on $700bn in foreign exchange reserves a few years ago and now it is down to like $400bn and still depleting rapidly with massive fiscal deficits as far as the eye can see. At some point this will destabilize the kingdom and Alwaleed may walk free.
