Holy shit. I've been doing some deep research on the origins of North and South Korea.

The US were fucking assholes and basically crushed the idea of a unified Korea from day one.

They basically sat back and let the north invade the south as an excuse to engage the USSR for proxy war.

The original unified government after WW2 was very peaceful. The south Koreans fucking hated the US Military Government of Korea

I'm super curious to find out what happened after the USSR dissolved and their strings were cut. There's a rumour that Kim Jung Il was going to invade the South in 1992 but his father Kim Il persuaded him to focus on fixing the economy instead.
