"Profiles in Courage" = Ted Sorenson

John F. Kennedy is credited as the author, although the extent of his contribution has been questioned. In his 2008 autobiography, Kennedy's speechwriter Ted Sorensen wrote that, while Kennedy provided the theme and supervised its production, Sorensen had written most of the book.

CEOs don't write books, celebrities don't write books. JFK was both. He may have actually shared some of Sorenson's ideas but who knows?

The Kennedy lads didn't go to necessarily attend classes at Harvard, but their essays were first rate, ol' Joe saw to that.

Joe fucked his family good. He kept "actress" Gloria Swanson in a guest house, had his daughter Rosemary lobotomised when her mother was away - she talked back.

JFK was all the more heroic coming from that sad background to attempt to set the country right.
