Election stealing is a felony. Election meddling is TREASON. The votes being CERTIFIED by the state as “official” was key.

They turned in the votes at 3:02, the time stamp was past the cut off time, which means they could NOT be certified. Hence, they had a different number counted and certified. The investigation is still very much warranted, however if the fraudulent votes were found certified (which could be uncovered in the investigation), then the crime is more significantly weighted. This was seen in advance, which is why POTUS assigned the DHS to oversee the votes.
