Anon, believe it or not, but the red cross does more than collect and distribute blood.
They provide $$$ for temp housing, food, clotheing, and other essentials.
Anon, I say this because I have been on the receiving end of such services.
I know all about the theory re: the red cross.
Just injecting some truth.
