What you're calling 'leverage' is actually blackmail—which is not only unethical but also illegal. If POTUS is doing that then he would be just as bad as they are. Would be better for him to use whatever info he has to force people like Pelosi out of Congress. Isn't this what the DECLAS is supposed to be all about?
But it seems that something didn't go as planned, and they are delaying the DECLAS for a reason that we really don't yet understand. The IG was told to be quick about doing his review of the FISA documents—-which have already been declassified by POTUS. His 'review' has been anything but quick. Kavenaugh has been appointed and the election is over, so it wasn't for either of those reasons why the DECLAS is being held up. That this IG keeps delaying, and delaying must be on purpose. I suspect that fuckery is afoot just as with The Memo (remember that?) They delayed that for months, and when they finally released it it was very heavily redacted and nothing really came of it. This situation with the DECLAS is looking awfully similar to the situation with The Memo. Delay, delay, delay…then nothing…
If the FISA DECLAS is what brings the house down and they are constantly delaying it then I guess the house keeps standing, the bullshit continues, and the criminals keep walking and running their mouths. To what end, though?
They must have a very, very, very good reason for allowing this IG to keep slow-walking the FISA release, but they don't have much time. In less than a year the 2020 election push will begin. Once that starts the DECLAS will become irrelevant. The fake media will ignore it even if it does happen, and the public will ignore it too due to distraction and political polarization with the upcoming general election. An issue is not an issue if the people who are supposed to care about it don't. Meanwhile, notwithstanding the Caravan folks, thousands of illegal voters are sneaking across the border every month
If the D's get away with all the voter fraud that we have just witnessed this does nothing to inspire voter confidence in the system next time. This post is too fucking long already, but the whole point is that having the DECLAS info is a grandiose waste of time if they're not going to do something with it while it still matters.
