Cali fires are fucking BRUSH fires, not Forrest fires. Cali has Forrest fires, but not very often as the trees are water holders and don't like to fucking burn.
BRUSH fires move at speeds of 5 to 25+ mph. The devil winds, Santanans, blow through canyons at speeds up to 80+mph, like a bellows in a furnace. Houses burn because gas and electrical become compromised. Poor areas have aging jimmyrigged roofs that light up like strike anywhere matches. Dry rotted structures burn FAST and HOT. Aluminum burns (we mine it as aluminum-oxide FFS) AND AT A low temp. Hot steel can flash burn aluminum.

You want to know how to do planned brush fires in Cali? Look where the gov't FAILED to allow/clear highly flammable brush. Look where they failed to do regular/seasonal control burns. Look where they failed to build regular/seasonal fire breaks.
