Have pondered this for several days now. We can assume that they do in fact have DEW tech on satellites orbiting Earth. DEW systems have been confirmed mounted on warships by USN and ChiComs so, it would make sense that they are in orbit at this time and mounted on large satellites. The satellites would have to be big enough to conceal the DEW system and have other uses as well. Would be worth a dig to figure out what the biggest/ largest multi use satellites are in orbit at this time. My assumption is that there are likely less then 10 satellites with that kind of capacity and all of them would be state sponsored, likely not the small private types that support internet connectivity, GPS, weather etc.
