Sunday Talks: Bob Goodlatte Discusses Turning Over DOJ/FBI Probe to Senate….
Outgoing and retiring Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Bob Goodlatte, appears on Fox and Friends weekend to discuss the status of investigations into the DOJ and FBI corruption.
Goodlatte notes the reason for former FBI Director James Comey to refuse to testify to a closed session, and also outlines how the joint House Oversight and Judicary committee will turn over their investigative material to the Senate Oversight (Ron Johnson) and Senate Judiciary (likely Lindsey Graham) committees.

There was a time, not so long ago, when popes, kings and queens enriched themselves and built vast empires on the profits made with the sweat and blood of kidnapped men, women and children loaded on ships, stacked like sardines and reduced to slavery on plantations of coffee, sugar, cotton, cocoa, all over the Americas. From the 1444 Portuguese attacks against the coast of Africa, followed by the 1452 papal bull of pope Nicholas V which invited Christians to attack and enslave non-Christians, to the faithful year of 1791, millions of human beings had already been kidnapped, terrorized, thrown to sharks in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Pope Nicholas V issued the papal bull Dum Diversas on 18 June, 1452 which reads as follows:
“We weighing all and singular the premises with due meditation, and noting that since we had formerly by other letters of ours granted among other things free and ample faculty to the aforesaid King Alfonso — to invade, search out, capture, vanquish, and subdue all Saracens and pagans whatsoever, and other enemies of Christ wheresoever placed, and the kingdoms, dukedoms, principalities, dominions, possessions, and all movable and immovable goods whatsoever held and possessed by them and to reduce their persons to perpetual slavery, and to apply and appropriate to himself and his successors the kingdoms, dukedoms, counties, principalities, dominions, possessions, and goods, and to convert them to his and their use and profit”.

Taliban Hold 'Marathon' Talks with US Envoy in Qatar
ISLAMABAD –The Taliban have held three days of talks with U.S. envoy Zalmay Khalilzad in the Gulf state of Qatar, where the Afghan insurgent group has a political office, a Taliban official and another individual close to the group said Sunday.
The talks are aimed at renewing the Afghan peace process and eventually winding down America's longest war. Seventeen years after the U.S.-led invasion that ended Taliban rule, the militants control nearly half of Afghanistan and carry out near-daily attacks on local security forces and government officials.
The two individuals said Khairullah Khairkhwa, the former Taliban governor of Herat, and Mohammed Fazl, a former Taliban military chief, attended the marathon talks. The two individuals spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the sensitive negotiations.
U.S. officials could not immediately be reached for comment. The State Department has refused to comment on reported talks with the Taliban.
A third individual with knowledge of the discussions said the Taliban pressed for a postponement of next year's presidential elections and the establishment of an interim government under a neutral leadership. Abdul Sattar Sirat, an ethnic Tajik and Islamic scholar, was suggested as a candidate to lead an interim administration.
The individual, who also spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the talks, said Khalilzad wants to reach a settlement within six months, a timescale the Taliban said was too short. Khalilzad also proposed a cease-fire, which the Taliban rejected, the individual said, adding that there was no agreement on the release of prisoners, opening the Taliban office or lifting a Taliban travel ban.

‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ Suspect in Child Assault Case Captured
Alabama officials arrested a suspect who was wanted for sexually assaulting a toddler in Tennessee, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) in a Nov. 18 update.
Simon Porter, 33, was sought by authorities in the aggravated assault of a child after police in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, were notified by physicians at Vanderbilt University Medical Center last week. The incident occurred on Nov. 10, WTSP reported.
The TBI said Porter “is now in custody. He was located and arrested by authorities in Scottsboro, Alabama. Thank you for helping us spread the word,” according to a tweet from the agency.
Fox13 in Memphis reported the assaulted boy is still hospitalized as of Nov. 18. “The little boy was hurt pretty bad,” said Lawrenceburg Police Lt. Blake Grooms, said WSVN.
In the middle of a police investigation, Porter fled, they said. “According to his wife, he took off and did not tell her where he was going. The last thing he told her [was] he was scared he was about to be arrested,” Grooms was quoted by the WSVN as saying.
Before his capture, the TBI had added him to its “Top 10 Most Wanted List.” There was a $2,500 reward for his capture.
According to KSDK, he lived in Lawrenceburg and had connections in Giles County and White House, Tennessee, as well as in north Alabama.
Mother Claims Innocence
Barbara Wright, the mother of Porter, called on her son to surrender, according to WKRN in a report on Nov. 16.
“Son please bring yourself in. I love you so much son, I don’t want you to get hurt. I don’t want nothing to happen to you (sic). Do the right thing, you know you didn’t do this, please bring yourself in, prove to them you are innocent,” she told the station.
Wright said her son is innocent, and she called on him to surrender and clear his name.
“Son, it’s going to be OK, just come in, and bring yourself in, they won’t do anything to you if you bring yourself in,” she said.
A reporter asked her if he’s dangerous, and she responded: “No, he’s not dangerous. He don’t have no guns, no knives (sic).”
But Josh DeVine with the TBI said it’s a terrible crime.

Where else can you work as a "public servant" most of your life and cash in to the tune of tens of millions of dollars when you "retire"?
Michelle Obama, wife of former president Barack Obama, is in the midst of a book tour to sell her autobiography Becoming. It's a sur- fire best seller and the book tour itself will net her millions. She also gets $225,000 a pop in speaking fees.
Combine that with the cash being raked in by her husband and a strong case can be made that the former first couple should be placed at the front of the line when the redistributionist policies they so fervently support become law.

Forbes estimated the couple made $20.5 million in salaries and book royalties between 2005 — when Obama became a federal senator and they first arrived in Washington — and 2016. They are now worth more than $135 million.
And that figure does not include the cash they are raking in for public speaking.
In October 2017, Michelle Obama was a keynote speaker at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, a non-profit that promotes education and networking.
Obama did an on-stage interview with Hollywood producer and writer Shonda Rhimes in Philadelphia for an audience of 12,000.
The New York-based Harry Walker Agency Inc., which books both Obamas for speaking gigs, billed the Pennsylvania Conference for Women $225,000 in 2017, according to the non-profit’s most recent tax filings.
Barack Obama currently rakes in $400,000 per speech, and earned at least $1.2 million for three talks to Wall Street firms in 2017. The fees come on top of his $207,800 annual presidential pension, which he began receiving as soon as he left office.
The Obamas; net worth before he became president was estimated at $1.3 million – mostly from the sales of his autobiography and royalties. Remember, this guy was a "public interest" lawyer and a state senator before running for the US Senate in 2004.
And now? The power couple is now worth well north of $20 million with some estimates going as high as $40 million.
The champions of "cashing in" are, of course, the Clintons, whose net worth rose from about $500,000 prior to Bill taking office to a whopping estimated $240 million today.
It isn't so much that these Democratic ex-presidents are making money hand over fist. This is America and more power to them. The problem is that they advocate policies that prevent the creation of wealth so that other Americans – not blessed with the opportunity to be president – can't follow in their footsteps.
Yes, they are hypocrites. And they're the worst kind of hypocrites. They are cynical hypocrites because they are fully aware of the disconnect between their own fabulous wealth and the wealth-killing policies they have promoted.
