Private Property is key to a free economy. In business law class our law school professor did a detailed analysis on the historical start up of all businesses in the United states.

80+% of all [ALL] United States businesses were started with a bank loan against a privately owned home.

Communist nations where private home ownership is nearly non existent have a horrible time starting the economies they need when "the wall comes down" to buttress freedom and a middle class, and a healthy free economy. This is specifically because no one has private property to borrow against. Private property is the only way to keep the economy in the hands of we the people.

I always remember this lecture, every time a Communist, or Socialist opens their damn fool mouths.
