The irony of this is I can probably guarantee the DNC ousted the long time incumbent "white male". IIRC he was rather surprised at the primary results and went into retirement quietly. I think he knew the score. Same thing happened with a black in Boston if IIRC. The DNC is flushing lower power older folks using teh primaries to drive the party more majority global population.
