Am speaking as someone who looked at socialism very hard as a young man. If you go to a place like WSWS, you will find highly intelligent people who talk their game very well….they do exist….but not her. For all of them though, the result is abject failure—it is all an intellectual circle jerk. Their conclusions are wrong, wrong, wrong. They refuse to acknowledge the many real life experiments, all of which ended up as agonizing tragedies. Or if they do mention such, there is always the stock, lame excuse that it "would" have worked, if only the vile capitalists hadn't interfered. They prove the aphorism that he who isn't a socialist as a young man has no soul, but he who is a socialist as an older man has no brain.
