I think the reason the SDF can't do shit in the Euphrates is because most of their forces are in north syria defending against the jihadis and the turks

but we have marines their, and they're fight hard

don't forget the SDF (and many marines) cleared the entire Syria-Iraq border of ISIS

those towns are HEAVILY fortified and won't be taken easily, which is why now the Iraqis are helping, and it looks like the SAA/russians are now too

we'll see, I think everything will be captured soon except Idlibistan, then the final battle really begins

I agree there are portion of the SDF the are cabal, but some are not imo

I didn't understand the dmz at first, but now I do:

clear the rest of syria to free up as many forces as possible

let the jihadis kill eachother

fortify the SAA's positions

gather intel

then when the timing is right, go on the offensive

it will be the battle of all battles in the Syrian Civil War, surpassing Aleppo
