Hard to say, anon. Total 146-151 mil AC over CONUS today. I saw 1 French A400 over Alberta, Canada (F-RAJA), one Dutch plane over the Great Lakes on the Canadian side. There is a concentration of planes over central TX but I cannot characterize their missions. The two that stuck out to me were near Cannon AFB and it looks like reconaissance work but since near an AFB could be training or equipment qualification testing.

Pic 1. Broad view of your area

Pic 2-3. Apparent reconaissance work near Cannon AFB, west of Clovis, TX.

Sounds good.

I knew an anon who owed a fairly large California state tax payment one year after they had sold real estate there. They told me they mailed a check for about $12,000 stapled to their state tax return. A few weeks later they got a letter from the Franchise Tax Board saying no check had been enclosed, tax was due plus penalties. They were understandably furious, and wound up paying by bank draft the tax due plus a huge penalty, plus a fee to stop payment on the check.

They believed that bureaucrats probably shredded the check upon arrival, in order to collect a penalty from the taxpayer. (Probably earned the bureaucrat a favorable personnel rating.) There was no point in contesting it or phone somebody. Routine business at the California Franchise Tax Board?
