They do this to shrimp as well, put bleach on the shrimp after about three days in the hull of the ship with no ice or refrigerant. When about 1 day from shore, the dose it with bleach, hose it down and then get ice from another vessel. Just in time for US inspections.

 

How do the Chinese buffets make money when shrimp is provided? Think u get the picture.
