Trying to break through the conditioning is an immense task. The ppl agree that cops do not solve every crime in 30 minutes or less; they agree that AFTER there is a robbery, accident, murder the cops come, clean up the mess, fill out the paper work, and go look for the perp.
They also agree that when they go to the doctor, they don't see the doctor, and when they finally do get a lab tech on the phone, they have to explain their medical history to someone who is ordering Noodle Express on the other line - not remotely like the "CARE" shown on the magic box.
Tom Selleck was even a staunch advocate for Stop & Frisk on Blue Bloods - it was like mayor Mike had his own CBS PR dept.
