The feeling is hard to describe but it's like someone zaps you right in your prefrontal cortex. Usually accompanied by a bright flash.

I've also experienced a feeling where your brain is falling backwards inside your skull. Well not the brain itself but like you it feels like you're losing your balance and falling backwards. I think it might have something to do with the cochlear area since that's also the area targeted by v2k.
