I think that an anon who likes to tinker with electricity and magnets could probably rediscover how to use radio waves to make people hear sounds. Two tips. Look up levitating frogs, a Dutch researcher used a magnetic field to levitate biological organisms, namely small living frogs. So magnetism can move cellular tissues, like for instance, eardrums. Secondly, how do you transmit a magnetic field? You have heard of electromagnetic radiation, yes? And if you use multiple sources you can get interference effects like the film "Perfect Wave".

When America was filled with small factories it was also filled with tinkerers and inventors as well. If the Russians lift themselves up by the bootstraps in 15 years or so, why can't we?
