Mikdad: Israel must be obliged to join WMD non-proliferation agreements
Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Dr. Fayssal Mikdad said that Syria condemns in the strongest terms any use of chemical weapons anywhere, by anyone and under any circumstance.
Mikdad affirmed that the theories adopted by some countries based on spreading chaos and the policies to change the regimes by force led to the expansion of the terrorism phenomenon in the world.
These countries, he added, did not like the state of security and stability in Syria, which led them to push their tools and mercenaries to destabilize the country by fabricating scenarios on the use of chemical materials against civilians aimed at distorting the image of the Syrian state.

Syrian Army Seizes More US-Supplied Weapons Abandoned By Militants In Damascus And Al-Quneitra
“As a result of our cooperation with the locals and the reconciliation committees in Damascus countryside and al-Quneitra countryside, we recovered loads of weapons and ammunition,” an SAA officer told the Syrian News TV. The weapons caches contained two Bulgarian-made Fagot anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), a Bulgarian-made Konkurs ATGM, assault rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, mortar shells, mines, ammunition of different calibers and two satellite communication systems. Ten stolen vehicles were also recovered.
Last year, the Conflict Armament Research (CAR) released a detailed report on how the U.S. bought loads of weapons, including Fagot and Konkurs ATGMs, from Bulgaria in order to supply them to its proxies in Syria. A large part of these weapons found its way to the terrorist groups like ISIS and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), which continue to use them to this day.
