Yes, it’s complete BS they way they come up psychiatric Dxs. All based on subjective symptoms clusters that cause significant disruption of daily activity. That’s partly why NIMH thru out the DSMV, but that’s a double edged sword cause I think big pharma plan is to make psychiatric dxs based on brain imaging studies to make the field more objective. WRONG! They will just have complete control over diagnoses without anyone questioning their authority.
I haven’t watched the video but yes if someone were taking lithium to control hypomania and stopped suddenly it could cause rebound hypomania and result in possible suicide.
