I have this book called finding Elen (Elen of the Ways). Its pretty obscure but the author claims that there was a major god/deity that was in the form of Deer worshipped across Europe. It reminds me of this picture. I haven't actually read it yet but was at an conference and the author gave a short presentation so out of curiosity i bought it. Will start scanning through it to see if there is any relevance

I haven't read it but a quick flip through i am finding references to similar areas scandinavia finland etc with variants of elen.

Also noting that the only female deer to have antlers are reindeer if that has any significance. I think what she is trying to say is that this deity was so wide spread and there is much evidence that it is the same deity across europe why is there not more research into it/her

Also the red hair, i don't know if that is a artistic depiction or if there is some sort of reference to red hair. But if there is it would make things a bit more interesting. I'll get reading see what it says
