My thyroid has been useless for over 25 years, Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Been on Synthroid since then. Would LOVE to get off it.
It's ludicrous how many body functions the thyroid controls - pretty much EVERYTHING.
Asked my doc about taking dried thyroid hormone that's extracted from pigs. She pretty much had a conniption.
I need a new doctor.
